Tater-Topped Casserole


  • 1 pound 90 percent lean ground beef
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • ⅓ cup sliced celery
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can (10¾ ounces) condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen Tater Tots
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese


  1. In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion, celery until the meat is no longer pink and the vegetables are tender; drain. Stir in salt and pepper.

  2. Spoon mixture into a greased 3-quart baking dish. Spread with soup. Top with frozen potatoes. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes or until bubbly. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
