  • 3 beets
  • Salt, to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil, to taste
  • 2 cups canned chickpeas
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seed paste or tahini


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Peel beets and boil until soft; season with salt and olive oil.

  3. Puree beets with chickpeas and sesame seed paste until a uniform paste forms. Transfer to oven-safe serving dish.

  4. Bake 10 minutes and serve.
