Preheat over to 350 degrees.
Mix butter, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon in large skillet over medium heat. Add apples and cook until apples are tender. Cool apples, then pour into pie shell.
Topping
Combine cream cheese and sugar for about 1 to 2 minutes with mixer until smooth. Add egg, lemon juice, and vanilla; beat for 1 minute or until blended. Pour mixture over apples. Bake 30 minutes. Let cool and refrigerate for 4 hours.
