• I have a kitchen flop. I was making a chocolate cake from scratch. When the cake was in the oven. My husband said it smells like the cake is burning. I looked in the oven and the outer edge of the cake was burning,but the center of the cake was bubbling out. My husband you must have done something wrong. I told my husband that I followed the directions. I started making one again and I put 1 tablespoon of baking soda instead of 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1 tablespoon of baking powder instead of 1 teaspoon of baking powder. It reminded me of the episode where Lucy kept pulling out the bread from the oven.
